Dhaka Finance Ltd. was incorporated on April 5, 1997, as a non-bank financial institution (NBFI) under the Financial Institution Act, 1993, with a license issued by Bangladesh Bank. Founded through a multinational joint-venture partnership, the institution was built on a vision to bridge the gap between conventional banking and the evolving financial needs of Bangladesh's rising middle class and corporate sector.
From a single office in Dhaka, we have grown into a full-spectrum financial group with subsidiaries in securities, investment banking, and asset management — serving individuals, SMEs, and large corporations across the country. 2001
Launch of Retail Financial Services
Expanded product portfolio to include retail loans for individuals — home loans, personal loans, and auto financing — democratising access to credit for the growing middle class of Bangladesh.
2006
Credit Card Milestone
Became the only non-bank financial institution in Bangladesh to launch VISA and Mastercard credit cards, also providing third-party card processing services to multiple banks — a groundbreaking industry first.
2010
Subsidiaries Established
Launched Dhaka Finance Securities Limited and Dhaka Finance Investments Limited — entering the capital markets through stock brokerage, issue management, corporate advisory, and portfolio management services.
2014
ICAB Best Accounts Award
Received the prestigious National Award for Best Published Accounts and Reports from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) — the first of several consecutive wins recognising Dhaka Finance's exceptional transparency and reporting standards.
